This area covers my most recent experiences in the broad field I am calling computing, it includes teaching, internships and other experiences that were part of my professional life
Adjunct Faculty | Regis University | 2015 - 2023
In 2015 I was hired on a contract basis to teach the Legal Basics in cyber Securiyty course for the Master's in Cyber Security Program. I taught this course online form 2015-2017. Once hired, I was asked to be the main course developer for the CS 479 Ethical Leadership in Computer Science Course that would launch online in 2016. I taught CS 479 online from 2016-2021 and in person from 2020-2021. In 2020 I updated the course content. In 2021, I was asked to teach the semester in person Web Development and Databases course in the CS undergraduate program. For the course I developed class activities and examples of homework assignments and taught myself python, flask and jinja.In 2023,I was asked to step in and teach the Senior Capstone class. I introduced students to GitHub, Jira and what it is like to work on something new.
FullStack Intern | FullStackLabs | 2021
During the summer of 2021 I was asked to help with Dr. Pyatt's fullstack labs project at Regis University. The work involved researching how to, testing and deploying various services remotely onto a metal server.
Web Administrator | Boulder Interdisciplinary Committee | 2020-2022
In 2020, I served as the President for BIDC. In addition to this rolle, I took on the role of web master, maintaining the content on our wordpress website and troubleshooting issues when members couldn't access content or login. In 2022, as I was stepping away from BIDC (having been term-limited, I spent hours peer to peer training the BIDC admin and making how to videos in order for her to take over the content management.

In order to start getting involved in SIGCAS, I offered to take over the web content management for their wordpress website. In this role, I updated content as requested and created rudimentary graphics as requested by the board.

As the only non-technophobic person at our law firm(and the only one who knew html and css), I took on the task oof updating our wordpress website's content as requested.

In 2012, I was admitted to the Colorado Bar. I have been licensed and practicing some level of law since then.

I have done a variety of legal tasks over the years on a contractual basis including: entity formation, contract review, providing legal opininons, legal advise as well as estate planning, drafting of offers, drafting disclaimers, making some in court appearances, etc.

After law school I worked for a family of start-up companies that were all entity members of the Windle-Hamilton cooperative. I did legal work, operations work, recruitement, event planning and wore a lot of hats. I gained lots of great experience that has helped me since. I still have my desire and affinity to starups, but in the end money needs to flow to sustain a project and the people running it.

During the summer after my second year of law school, I worked for a multi-practie law firm in Boulder. I was exposed to torts, some other civil litigation matters and a select crimingal matters.

In the fall of 2011, I interned for federal Judge John Kane. During this time, I researched and wrote several opinions that Judge Kane used with minor edits.

During the summer after my first year of law school, I interned for the Colorado chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union. I interviewed inmates at the Boullder county Jail, I worked on cases involving immigrant rights, the rights of the unhoused and the freedom of religion

During my last year of law school, I was looking for a job that would not take mental energy away from my school work so I got a job in retail at Target. There was so much about this job that I liked and to this day I have fond feelings about how the store I worked at treated their employees.

For over a year while I was in college I worked at the campus bookstore. It was a great place to work as a student in general.

I assisted in running experiements in the EEG lab. This involved setting subjects up, explaining the experiment and monitoring them during the experiment.

During the summer after high school and into the start of my freshman year at CU I worked as a cashier for Target.
Team Member| Cookies in Bloom |2005
Working for Cookies in bloom was my first "real job." I made and sold cookies at a little stand in the mall. I started the job in the summer and continued into the fall of my senior year.
